The gaming floor

The gaming floor at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto holds 4,500+ slot machines and e-tables, along with 164 table games. Great Canadian Entertainment runs it, and the loyalty card is Great Canadian Rewards.

Higher stakes have their own area. The high-limit area has 210+ slot machines, 15 multi-game electronic video poker and blackjack games, and 25+ live table games. Table minimums there start at $100.

The poker room, open round the clock, occupies Level Two of the Grandstand Casino. The tables spread No Limit, Omaha half-kill and PLO games at several stake levels. The rake is 10%, to a $20 maximum. Holiday schedules are best confirmed on the venue's own website.

Hotel, food and getting in

The 400-room hotel opened on August 1, 2023. For meals, the operator names Pizzaiolo, Casual, Copperhorn Meet House, Chopsticks Noodlehouse, Lobby Bar Grab & Go, Lobster Legend Noodle Bar and The Northern Lights Bar. The Theatre is the show venue.

Self-parking is free in a garage with 3,800 spaces. Valet costs $20 Monday to Thursday and $30 Friday to Sunday. The operator's Casino Shuttle needs a reservation, is 19+ and costs $10 cash for a return trip. Walk-ons have not been permitted since June 29, 2026.

Admission requires being 19+ and holding a valid, original photo ID from a government; the house rule is We ID under 30. Smoking or vaping is limited to designated areas, and cannabis is prohibited.

Seen from Port Perry

From central Port Perry, the resort is 68.1 km away in a straight line. Port Perry itself is 61.3 km from Toronto City Hall. The resort opened on June 20, 2023, next to Woodbine Racetrack, and the original Casino Woodbine is now its Grandstand Casino.

It works on a different scale from Great Blue Heron on Scugog Island. The island casino has 20 live table games, while this resort has 164. Great Blue Heron is 9.7 km from central Port Perry, a stop that fits inside a day by the lake.
