Who writes Port Perry Lake Day
Checked
Port Perry Lake Day is written and checked by the Lake Day Desk, the guide's editorial team, with no named author. The Desk treats the casino on Scugog Island as one stop of a day at the lake.
How the guide stays current
On October 7, 2026, every fact was verified against official pages from the venues, the Township of Scugog, Durham Region Transit and Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. Facts on Ontario's regulated online market come from iGaming Ontario. Where official pages disagree on a figure, it stays out, so no slot count appears for Great Blue Heron.
The First Nation is described in its own words. For the Powwow date and the land acknowledgement, the guide uses the Township of Scugog's. Only the home page shows readers paid links; each bears an Ad label and points to one partner running an online casino. That partner pays a commission and can change. No venue, transit agency, help service, OLG or the province pays the Desk.
The lakeside town, marina, main street, island, bus and heron pictures are made-up scenes from an image generator. Pictures of the casinos and racetracks, such as Great Blue Heron Casino and Hotel, are miniature models rebuilt from real photographs. The Woodbine grandstand miniature is redrawn from a free photograph by 水野 航平 from Wikimedia Commons. Its author and the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence are credited under it, and the redrawn version keeps that licence. Apart from that credit, the pictures carry no notes; this paragraph is the Desk's only explanation.
